Heather Causey - Experienced South Carolina Nurse Anesthetist
A certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA), Heather Causey works at Columbus Regional Hospital in Whiteville. She leads patients to the OR suite and ensures they are properly hooked up to monitors as general anesthesia is induced. Heather Causey ensures that patients are adequately ventilated at all times, whether through mechanical means or breathing on their own. She also checks vital signs, including blood pressure and heart rate.
Ms. Causey’s responsibilities include spinals and other forms of regional anesthesia, as well as epidurals for patients in labor. She occasionally provides intubation in an ER or ICU setting, and delivers case management when cardiopulmonary resuscitation is necessary. Ms. Causey is a graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina’s nursing program, also earned a nurse anesthesia master’s degree. She has past experience as a bookkeeper with JH Price Construction Co., Inc., in Conway, where she was responsible for the management of payroll and payroll taxes, as well as accounts receivable and payable.
